Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

This course follows the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) curriculum & includes meditation, discussion and light movement. MBSR has been shown to help with stress, pain & a variety of health conditions.No previous meditation experience necessary.
The 2 hour sessions will include guidance and teaching on:
- How to recognise stress by listening to the body and paying attention to your experience
- How to cultivate 'being in the now' and spend less time lost in scattered thoughts, regrets and catastrophising about the future
- Simple meditation and movement practices which are available to you for life - the Body Scan, Sitting Meditation, the Breathing Space and Mindful Movement
- Practical techniques for managing stress at work, home or any other environment

Movement work is accessible and adapted to meet the needs of all participants of whatever age or ability. Do call or email for further discussion on whether this course is for you. This course is open to all. Parking is available on site or nearby. The venue is in a country location and is not accessible by public transport.

This course has no religious content.
